Winter Wonderland

With a help of few sparkly snowflakes our new flower girl dress style - Frances - becomes a Winter Wonderland themed outfit. Shown in Ice Blue silk and tulle, White sash, with our faux fur Anna jacket.

Antique Tablecloth linen dress

This dress is almost One-of-a-Kind. I think I have enough tablecloth left for a second dress, so it really should be called Two-of-a-Kind. This flower girl dress is made with antique linen table cloth that caught my eye with its neat hand-made cross-stitch embroidery and linen softness. This was my first time up-cycling antiques/vintages, and I enjoyed making this dress a lot.

Texture, baby-blue stitching, pink roses and petal pink silk sash make this dress a perfect match for an antique garden-style wedding. This particular dress is priced at $110. You can purchase it here, or give us a call at (626) 395-7445.

The dress is in size 3-4. The dress is 30" long (76cm), if the bottom hem is tucked in, it is 21" long (53cm). It would fit the child with 23" chest (58cm) and 22" waist (56cm), however you can move the buttons in and out a little to tighten it up a bit or to let it loose.

There is still enough fabric for a second up-cycled table cloth flower girl dress that can be made in a different size (I think, up to size 5). Two matching cross-stitch embroidered ring pillow can be also produced.

"Mary" flower girl dress for Melissa's and Jeremy's wedding

We were excited when our "Mary" dress was selected for Today Wedding show this year! Melissa and Jeremy make a beautiful couple and I hope they were happy with the choices of their wedding attire and the venue.

Little Flower Girl wore ivory Mary dress in Ivory silk with Natural chiffon overlay and the Slate dupioni silk sash.

This is one of our new dresses, viewed from the back. The skirt is created from multiple layers of tulle, bodice and sash are silk dupioni. Gathered straps and silk-covered buttons closure on the back. Natural silk lining.

This one is created from petal pink silks and tulle, but other colors are available as well.

Customer asked us to match her swatch for the sash on the Cindy, and we did that by using 2 layers of fabric on the sash and bow. Also shown the same dress with regular sized bow alongside another Cindy flower girl dress and Jane Junior Bridesmaid dress. Customer decided to go with big bows on the back.

Tips: On a Budget

Obtaining a silk, heirloom American-made custom dress can be relatively costly, so here are a few tips on how to save:
- Contact us and ask about our sample sales. We have some ready-to-ship dresses and accessories in stock that were used for photography or magazine photo sessions. Of course, limited size/color selection is available, but the item can be purchased at a substantial discount. Before shipping, we will carefully examine each item to ensure that it is in perfect condition and perform minor alterations if needed (for example, dress length/ changing sash to another color). Before calling us, please measure your child (chest, waist, height and desired dress length), we will also ask you about your style and color theme preference so we can write down your information and check it against our stock.
- Get a dress that may be used for several events. For example, if your child is likely to be in two or three weddings during the summer, get a dress that can be worn with different sashes that will match the color theme of the current event. For example, you can take the sash off from our Chloe or Karen dress and substitute it with another Fox’n Lily sash.
Another way to re-use the dress is to get a growth-spur friendly design. Our favorites in this category are Mary and Eden flower girl dresses. Click on the dress names to learn more.
